Waite Phillips and his identical twin brother Wiate were born to an Iowa farm family in 1883. Sixteen years later the twins left home together to seek their fortunes in the West but only one boy returned. This biography of Waite Phillips, the younger brother of Phillips Petroleum founder Frank Phillips, chronicles his life in the oilfields and boardrooms of 1920s Oklahoma and his extensive philanthropy in his later years.
