This book is a compilation of letters from Richard Halliburton to his parents. I don't know why a movie has not been made about his life - he was a real adventurer! I was fortunate enough to drive by his boyhood home in Memphis, after I had read this book, and to see where he actually lived added to the sense of him that was gotten through reading his intimate letters to his parents
